    Two battleships,the Repulse and The Pince Of Wales were sunk by Japanese fighter planes off Kuantan on the east coast of Malaya. The sinking of the two battleships was the worst British disaster of the war. The British no longer had any supplies or battleships to stop the Japanese from landing on the coast of Malaya.

    At Jitra, Japanese tanks fought with British forces in heavy rain. The British thought they didn't need tanks for Jungle warfare, but they were wrong. The Japanese tanks went at a fast and accurate speed that British was hit by surprise. The Japanese were also well trained in jungle warfare. Even though the British out numbered the Japanese, They were still better than British.The British was confused because of the Orders that wre giving were not very clear.The british left guns and ammo.

    Before any thing about the fall of Penang, the Japanese had dropped bombs on the island. The Japanese used its airfeild and other airfeilds in north western Malaya. Many ships and boats were captured by the Japanese who later used them for coastal landings on the west coast of Malaya.

    The British fought a Battle that did not win against Japanese. The British used anti-tank guns to destroy The tanks, but this guns did not work. The Japanese had all of there food, ammo, and equipment. The battle was a major victory for Japanese.

    Japanese troops entered Kaula Lumpur without facing alot of the British forces. The Japanese found a trian that had loads of supplies like food and ammo for guns. Freshly printed maps of Singapore, but these things were supposed to be for the British. Now the Japanese had a clear view of Singapore.

    The Australian and Indian soldiers who were apart of the allied forces tried to stop the Japanese from getting to Singapore. They put bombs on a wooden bridge. When the Japanese soldiers were on the bridge the commander told them to blow it up. This was a victory for the Allied forces. Most of the Japanese died on that bridge. The Japanese came back feirce and fighting as well did the Allied forces, but Jaanese won again.

    The British, Australian, and Indian units from parts of Jahor withdrew to Singapore. The Malaya troops lost and everything was going wrong the Britich decided tp blow up the Causeway that connected Malaya to Singapore. They knew this could slow down time for Singapore to get ready for them.
