  • Accepted to private school

    May Age 8 was accepted into a private school because of how academically talented she is. She excelled in school and became a leader and an example to her classmates.
    In Erickson’s fourth stage, industry vs. inferiority
    The crisis is between being encouraged and taught well which results in excelling and becoming confident or being unsuccessful at learning what is needed to be confident and unable to master the skills needed and experiencing inferiority.
  • Sophomore class president

    May age 16, becomes the Sophomore class president at her school. She knows she is a good leader and her peers look up to her.
    In Erickson’s Fifth stage, identity vs. identity confusion
    The crisis of knowing who they are and what they are capable of or not figuring out who they are, and identity confusion occurs.
  • May and Jack get married

    May age 25, marries Jack because she is confident in what she wants and needs, and she wants to spend her life with him.
    In Erickson’s sixth stage, intimacy vs. isolation
    The crisis of committing to an intimate relationship or choosing isolation because one is not capable or chooses not to be vulnerable.
