Amalia emigrated to America with a few of her sisters on a boat first-class to Ellis Island. After being inspected there, they took a train ride to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Amalia married Adolph Amacher in the Logan Utah Temple. They then moved into a house on 10th North in Logan.

Their first chilhd was named Enoch Adolph Amacher. He died at the age of six on May 17, 1923. She had another boy 3 years later, Aaron, then Winifred three years after that. My Great-Grandma Leah was born two years after her sister.

This effected the whole world, and Amalia had a personal connection to this event. Her second-to-oldest son, Aaron, served for America in World War Two as a Lieutenant. He came back home alive, which was a relief to all.

Amalia left a legend behind. She cared for everyone. She died in Logan and was buried in the Logan Cemetary.
