  • Tennis for Two

    Tennis for Two
    .An American physicist created what is know as the first video game ever. He gave birth to "Tennis for Two". It was played on a Donner Model 30 analog comuter. It was a huge thing and could not fit in a house hence the reason the game was neveer sent to the public, William created it becuase he saw students were getting bored so he did it to cure the boredom. The idea of the game was inspired by a World War II radar. It was a simulation of playing Tennis on a oscilliscope.
  • Space War!

    Space War!
    . The next game to be born was Space War, which looked very similar to Tennis For Two. It was created by Steve Russell and Wayne Wiitanen. It was a project for an American technology school. Once again it was not available to the public. The idea of the game was that two players would controlling a space ship blowing each other up. It was played with two anolog sticks and was very unheard of in that time.
  • Pong!

    Pong!
    . We all know pong, it was the first video game to be released in the public, and it exploded. As it was an aracde game people were spending hundreds of spare change just to play it. They raised over one millions punds just from change! It was created by Ralph Baer, who gave rights to Atari. It was the biggest thing in this time. The idea of the game was to hit the ball from one side to the other without hitting the walls. Simple but great!
  • Magnavox Odyssey

    Magnavox Odyssey
    . The first ever home video game console was released by the public, and it was created by the master of pong Ralph Baer. It came with Pon included as Pong was a massive money maker in that time, as Pong was still huge after years. Unlike most expect it didn't do massively well as it didn't advertise very well. It was black and white but it had a little sheet to put over your T.V screen to play in color. This was a huge feature which was massive with the public.
  • Atari

    Atari
    . The Atari 2600 was a console of such a success with made Magnavox look pants. It was a huge hype of a machnine. Once again it was relased to the public by Atari Inc. It was such a success becasue it added cartridges which was never heard of before. It came with a game very similar to Pong which did cause a big contreversy. It was a big brown box with black lines. It was analog based and very popular.
  • Donkey Kong

    Donkey Kong
    . A very popular company now realsed a games console to the U.S called the N.E.S. It wasn't as big of a success as a console. But in fact in was Donkey Kong that was a big success. It was a huge game that was massively popular. The idea of the game was to capture a princess as Donkey Kong. But you had the plumber iin your way. That plumber is known as Mario today. And it was the plumber that made Donkey Kong such a success
  • Playstation!

    Playstation!
    . Taking a big jump as many of the consoles were just sequels but this was something new. Sony were origianally working with Nintendo to create a console but they decided to drift on on the ir own. They cretaed the PLaystation. It was the first ever amazing graphics and sound system. It was a huge hit and had many games, as buying game rights were very popular. Almost every home had a playstation.
  • Xbox

    . Microsoft came into the market being PLaystastions first competion. The Xbox promised to do things PLaystation couldn't dream of doing. And it did just that. It had explosive graphics and you could play online! It sold billions of consoles and it gave birth to Sony Vs Microsoft. The xbox is still very alive today.
