  • Assassination of President Lincoln

    Assassination of President Lincoln
    Lincoln was killed by John Wilkes Booth. Booth took revenge for the defeat of the confederacy, but was later caught by union soldiers and was killed. Lincoln died the next morning he was shot.

    Ruby was the first child to enter an all white elementary school. She was scared a bit by white women threatening her, but soon overcame it by always remembering that the LORD will always protect her

    James Meredith was the first black man to enter an all white college and graduated (Ole Miss). He was shot by a sniper because of marching to gain rights for black people. He soon recovered and continued the march to gain civil rights.

    March on Washington was an event where blackes and whites come together and fight for equality and jobs. There were speeches, songs, and prayers that everyone enjoyed; especially the " I Have A Dream" speech.

    The bombing on the church was horrifying. 4 children was killed and 17 was injured. A lot of people was outraged for what had happen; it increased the struggglw to end segregation.
