    On the night of August 21st, slaves lead by Dutty Boukman rebeled against thier slave owners. They burned down fields, sugar proccessing factories, and homes.

    Toussaint Louverture, an ex-slave is in power as a rebel leader
  • King Louis xvi is executed

    (Circa 1792) King Louis xvi is executed and French
    abolishes the idea of the Monarchy. Napoleon takes power and is looking to take Saint Domingue.
  • Louveture sides with French

    (Circa 1794) After the French abolish slavery, Louveture leaves the Spanish and British to fight for the French.
  • The War of Knives

    (Circa 1799) The War of Knivesd erupts from Louveture and Riguad wanted each others pieces of land, and couldn't agree. So they fought in this war for a year
  • Louveture Establishes Constitution

    (Circa 1801) Louveture establishds a constitution that abolishes slavery, gives rights to all men, outlawed the practice of Voodou.
  • Napoleon Goes To Saint Domingue

    Napoleon goes to Saint Domingue for the land. But meets Austria, Prussia, Spain, and Britian. As they fight Spain and Britian try to get thier hands on the land.
  • Toussaint Joins Beitish and Spain

    Toussaint and affranchis join the British and Spain to fight the French, in the Battle of Ravine-a-Couleuvres. In which Toussaint lose.
  • Jean-Jacques Dessalines

    Dessalines takes power as a rebel leader.
  • Toussaint Dies in Prison

    Dessalines lead the Hatians in the last major battle as they defeat the French

    (Circa 1804) The French admit defeat and evacuate the island. Jean-Jacques Dessalines is promoted as emporer of Haiti.
