Cassius Clay was named after his father "Cassius Marcelles Clay". The Heavy weight champ was born in Louisville Kentuky on the 17th of January, 1942. -
The beggining of a Succesful career.
Clay made is pro debute on October 19th 1960 winning in a 6 round decision agaisnt Tunney Hunsaker. That would be the first of his 19-0 record with an impressive 15 KO's. Ali was only knocked down twice in his amature years by Sony Banks and Henry Cooper. -
Name change
After Cassius Clay became a muslum, He decided to change his name to Muhammad Ali. on Feb 26th 1964, Cassius clay became Muhammad Ali after he TKO'd Sonny Liston in miami beach to claim heavyweight champion. -
Refuses to join the Military.
Muhammad Ali refuses to join the military on April 28th 1967 due to his religious belifs. In Muhammads mind it didnt make sense to go fight a war against the Viet Cong as he was later quoted saying "Man, i aint got no Quarrel with the Viet Cong". The decision cost Ali more then he could imagine, he was stripped of his heavy weight title and his boxing licence. -
Ali vs Frazier. First pro loss for Muhammad Ali, Fight number 1.
Muhammad Ali faces his first proffessional Lost against the young and powerful joe frazier. The fight whent the full 15 rounds which is why it was known as the "Fight of the century". Frazier was clearly dominating the fight, winning on points. But early in the 15th, Freaizer landed a powerful right hook to Ali's jaw, sending him to the canvas but quickly back to his feat with a broken jaw. -
Ali vs Frazier II "Thrilla in Manilla"
after ali's upsettinbg defeat in 1971, he was devestated. But he did not quit after the fight even though all the press was saying he was washed up and no longer able to keep up with the younger fighters, he battled on and was due for a rematch with Frazier on January 28th 1974. It was called the fight of the century because both fighters knew they would be batteling in the fight of their lives. People where stunned at the result of the fight as Ali would pull through and win on points. -

Muhammad Ali announces he has Parkingsons desies. To this day ali is batteling Parkingsons, each day is a struggle but being the fighter he is, he countinues to carry on in success.
