In hopes to increase and improve their industrilation the soviet union launches the first 5 year plan.

The crash

Oct 29, 1929

The great depression begins due to the stock market crashing on Wall street. The stocks were was overbought, overvalued and they were not up to standards to continue to advance.

Dust bowl

1930

An event that happened due to top soil being eroded allowing the wind to pick up sand and dirt creating heavy thick clouds of dust taking over people. Taken place during the Great depression resulting in many deaths due to lack of ability to grow crops.

Hoover Dam

Constructed during the Great Depression one of the largest concrete structures was made helping america for hundreds of years to come. In hopes to create several jobs for Americans allowing income to finally improve.

The National Anthem

Mar 3, 1931

On this day the star spangled banner was officially named the national anthem of the united states. Played at many baseball games the country and congress members urged and pushed for a national anthem.

Bonus army

Jul 28, 1932

President Hoover sent the US military to storm off the veterans striking in Washington DC for receiving their pensions. Tear gas was used to push away the fellow Veterans.

Hitler

On this day Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany by president Hindenburg. This marking a turning point for Germany as well as the world.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt

On this day Franklin Delano Roosevelt was inaugurated as President of the United States. He presented his idea of the "New Deal," which expanded the federal government improving the welfare of Americans.

21st Amendment

Dec 5, 1933

The 21st amendment was passed which allowed for the ending of prohibition.

Olympics

Germany hosts the 1936 Winter Olympics in Bavaria.

Peace

President Roosevelt sent a letter to German leader Adolf Hitler to seek peace in hopes to end the mass destruction.

Slovak Republic

A pro German republic known as the Slovak republic was created. along with Carpatho Ukraine was created on the same day resulting in Hungary invading on the same day.
