    The beginning of a Cold War
    The Soviet Union declared war on Japan, by agreement of with the United States and Korea north of the 38th paralell. U.S forces helped occupy the forces. Then in 1948 they had two different governments set up. Neither side wanted a border permanetly. This conflict esculated quickly and caused warfare.

    South Korea got a new goverment and recognized the UN.
  • The beginning of the Korean War

    The beginning of the Korean War
    The beggining of the Korean War started on June 25th, 1950. This war begun with 75,000 soilders from North Korea. They went across the 38th paralell. This was the first invasion of the cold war.
  • Chinese enter the war

    Chinese enter the war
    The Chinese enter the Korean War. Ch.inese forces crossed the Yalu and entered the war. Chinese intervention triggered a retreat of UN forces which continued until mid-1951. After these dramatic reversals of fortune, which saw Seoul change hands four times, the last two years of conflict became a war of attrition, with the front line close to the 38th parallel.

    Truman is Replaced
    Truman is replaced by Eisenwiser and Eisenwiser wants to finally end the war and feud against North and South Korea

    North Korea and South Korea tried talking peace during their war to stop things. As you can tell things did not work. The war just continued

    There is multiple things that people say that caused his death. People say that he was killed. Others say brain hemorrhage. This lead North Korea having loss of confidence.
  • Korean Armistice Agreement

    Korean Armistice Agreement
    The armistice was signed on July 27, 1953, and was designed to "insure a complete cessation of hostilities and of all acts of armed force in Korea until a final peaceful settlement is achieved. The signed armistice established the Korean Demilitarized Zone. That zone does not run far from the 38th parallel.
