THE DROVER'S WIFE

  • exposition

    the story stars off with a family in an outback background, with them living living in a house, where it movies onto the main character ( the drovers wife) with the mom being put off as a harsh and tough love styled mum, later one of her children spotted a snake and made a run for it and hid in a log pile.
  • rising action

    the snake departs from the log pile where the child was hiding and moves onto the mother, soon the dog is aware of the situation and starts tugging on the chain until it eventually snaps causing he to be free from the chain, resulting in him chasing the snake.
  • Climax

    as the dog is chasing the snake he goes to grave it with its mouth and misses it, causing the snake to slide underneath the house, without hesitation the dog goes under, as that was happening the mother took her kids away from the snake and as that is happening she is thinking to herself about all the terrible things she has gone through, later the dog brings out the snake in its mouth, in which she takes the snake and makes sure the snake is properly dead.
  • falling action

    the mother takes the dead snake on her stick over to the fire she had made and dumps the snake into the fire, as she intently watch's the snake burn to ash.
  • Resolution

    the snake is now dead and piece has been restored and as they stand there watching it burn the little boy says "mother, i wont go droven, blast me if i do!"
