    At the May-Dance, Angel sees Tess from afar while dancing with another lad. And regrets not going up to Tess and asking her for a dance.
  • Prince dies

    "Then Durbeyfield began to shovel in the earth, and the children cried anew. All except Tess. Her face was dry and pale, as though she regarded herself in the light of a murderess."
  • Tess gets sent off

    Tess's parents send her off to Trantridge trying to find money for their family but has no hope because of the loss of the family horse.
  • The Night of the Chase

    Tess meets Alec for the first time and he makes Tess very uncomfortable during their journey. In the middle of nowhere, Tess gets r**** in the silent and darkness.
  • Letter for Talbothays

    Tess wanted no more with the d'Uberville's and the dreams and deeds of her new life and decided that she should just be a dairymaid and will be happy and not have any worries in her life
  • Life back in Marlott

    Tess moves back to Marlott because of The Night of the Chase. She finds out that she is pregnant and gives birth to Sorrow, but it soon passes away and Tess christens the baby then buries it.
  • Tess flees again

    Tess leaves home for the second time and falls in love with Angel at Talbothays and they meet continually and could not help it. They confessed love to each other and were going to get married.
