His doctor told him would be blind in a month, and he was. "I don't understand depression. I have never had a depressed day in my life." Bobby McMullen said. He may look like an ordinary guy, but he is not. The doctors did laser eye surgery and luckily saved some of his vision. In his right eye he has 20/1200 best corrected vision. From the scaring from the laser eye surgery his left eye was entirely blind. Therefore Bobby was legaly blind.

He got his first double transplant for his kindeys and pancrese. He was no longer a diebetic after this transplant.

Bobby was back sking on the disabled ski team. He then compeated in the paralimpics, he got fith. Throught his entire journey he was never scared or affraid.

He started to expierence symptoms of of acute renal rejection. In 2001 he was back on dialysis.

He said;" It was like winning the lottery twice." Since he got his second double transplant. He got the pancrease and kidney from a cadavar.

In 2004 Bobby was mountain bike racing. He compleated a Half Ironman event that consisted of 1.2 mile swim, 13 mile run, and a 56 mile bike race.

In 2005 Bobby compeated in the Nissan XTERRA World Chamionship Mountain Bike Triathalon. This was covered by CBS in a sports spectacular.

In 2007 bobby decided that he wanted to ride in the Downiville Classic the hardest bike race in the country. Its' a 17 mile bike race.

On August 18 2010 Bobby spoke motovationally in Windham, NY. He also raced in the citizens corse.

Bobby spent his entire summer in Europe, Italy, and France, riding his bike. Riding in France was the craziest because 1,000 riders start at the same time, and overall the trails drop over 10,000 feet in 18 miles. The race was called the Megavalanche. It was crazy. One of his quotes that I think git him through thish was, "I am incredably optimistic. My glass is not half full or half empty, it's just full."- Bobby McMullen. He was the first blind person to ever complaete these races.

On January 22 bobby got third in his division in the CCCX Race.
