    The first World war is finally over. After over 9 million deaths and copious amounts of damage, the Treaty of Versailles spoke on the terms of peace declared by Germany, and the Allied Nations. The United States refused to sign the treaty because it disagreed with some of the terms.
  • Event 2

    Black Tuesday, also known as the great stock market crash, descended upon the United States and setting off the Great Depression. During this time unemployment significantly increased with one quarter of society out of work and many people were left homeless. Many ttried to rectify the situation but no one was able - they were in the hole too far.
  • Event 3

    To hide the racist actions of the time, Germany decided to host the summer Olympics. Many countries boycotted the event because of the reality of what Hitler was doing, but many countries rejected the opportunity - this including the United States.
  • Event 4

    Franklin Delano Roosevelt begins his second term as United States President in the midst of economic turmoil. The United States was looking to FDR to take them from the bottom to the top. FDR helped the United States dig out of the era of the Great depression. During this term he spent hours conferencing with Winston Churchill and many others on how to attack the Nazi powers in Germany and liberate those under his tyranny.

    The United States had not joined in World War 2 for numerous reasons, but when over 100 Japanese fighter planes attacked the US Navy base at Pearl Harbor, FDR decided along with Congress that it was time to declare war on Japan, thus forcing them into WW2. Three days later Japan joined forces with Germany while Italy declared war on the United States. American was in war with the Axis powers and they wre determined to win.
  • Event 6

    Allied forces land in France in attempts to defeat and liberate the citizens under Axis reign. The attack took the German army by surprise and every counter attack they tried was thwarted. Over time but not without numerous lives lost, the Americans completed what they came to do and Germany was freed.
