  • 50,000 BCE

    Oil lamp

    Oil Lamp (50,000 BC): was a container of oily liquid that was made to burn by means of a wick, it was the earliest form of lamp burning sticks and then the torches were created and were formed by branches or wood chips, tied and soaked in tallow or oil.
  • 3200 BCE

    Printing

    Around 1450, Johannes Gutenberg introduced the first movable type printing system in Europe. He advanced innovations in casting type based on a matrix and hand mould, adaptations to the screw-press, the use of an oil-based ink, and the creation of a softer and more absorbent paper.[15] Gutenberg was the first to create his type pieces from an alloy of lead, tin, antimony, copper and bismuth – the same components still used today

    Seiko, a Japanese watch company, was one of the first to develop pulse computing technology. The first models of smart watches were capable of performing basic functions such as calculations, translations or running mini games, but current smart watches are already capable of performing enhanced functions, such as those of a smartphone or even a laptop.
