  • Tess sees Angel

  • Tess's father finds out that he's possible heir

    According to the text John gets approched by a parson and gets told that he is an heir

  • Tess's Father goes out to celebrate

  • Horse prince is killed

    Tess falls asleep while riding/driving and the horse gets killed

  • Tess goes to the D'Urbervilles in Tantridge

    Tess's parents send her to go to the D'urberviles because of their possible heir they hope that they can lend Tess money for a new horse

  • Tess is invited to come and work in Trantridge

    Alec writes her a letter asking her to come and work for them

  • Alec goes onto Tess and gets her pregnant; she then returns to Marlott and has her baby

    Her baby dies and she burries it

  • She falls in love with Angel
