Born in Royal Oak, Michigan at 10:17pm exactly one minute after my twin sister. The infant mortality rate per 1000 babies at this time was 61, as of 2011 it is 43.

Colored TV

We got a colored TV in our basement where there was previously only a black and white TV with antennas used to tune into the channels.

Cassette Player

I received my first cassette player/ radio on Christmas. I was able to listen to Christmas songs all day long on my own radio.

Caller ID

My family buys a caller ID box and we no longer have to guess who is on the other end of the phone line. Very exciting times.
