    Listen to vowel sounds. Listen for LONG vowel sounds. If you hear a long vowel sounds, it is strong. It DOES NOT need a friend, so it pushes the other letters away! Ro-bot

    Listen to each vowel sound. Listen for short vowel sounds. If it is a short vowel sound, the vowel is scared and needs a friend. It is going to grab ONE friend and pull it next to them. EX: Rob-in
