    Nai Nai (Jun-lings grandmother) passes away.

  • Father takes children to live with him in Shanghai

    Jun-lings father taes her and all her siblings to Shanghai except for the younger step sister.

  • Jun-ling sneaks off Wu-Chun Mei's birthday party and is later punished

    Jun-ling goes to her best friends birthday party secretly. But, she suffers extreme consequences at home.

  • Jun-ling ia elected as class president. Her classmates follow her home and surprise her with gifts, only for Jun-ling be scolded and abused by Niang.

    When Jun-lings classmates follow her home to surprise her and congratulate her being class president, Niang disapproves and abuses Jun-ling. It was not Jun-ling's fault either.

  • Jun-ling is sent to Tianjin to live in a boarding school by herself.

    Jun-ling is left alone in a boarding school in Tianjin, despite the fact that a war is to take place there.

  • Niangs sister picks up Jun-ling and takes her to Niangs new home in Hong Kong.

    Jun-ling is rescued by Niangs sister and taken to Niangs new home in Hong Kong.

  • Jun-ling is sent to another boarding school in Hong Kong.

    Jun-ling is sent away from Niang to a boarder in Hong Kong. To Jun-ling, this is a blessing for she did not want to be abused by Niang.

  • After Jun-ling goes home from the boarder, her father grants her wish to go to college.

    Jun-ling's lifelong wish comes true and she is sent off to a college in England.
