Story timeline for a Bakery Story / Author: Hal Ames

Joseffe and his wife Marissa had four children: Rommel, Jeralynn, Marisu and David. They owned a bakery.

One day, Joseffe was going down the stairs to his bakery when he slipped and fell.

The day of the accident Joseffe worked all day, despite the pain he felt.

At the end of the day Joseffe agreed to go to the hospital. A taxi driver took him in exchange for loaves of bread.

The doctor examined Joseffe. He had broken his ankle and had to undergo surgery.

Rommel tells his father that the family will take care of the bakery while he is in the hospital and recovers.

Joseffe cried when he heard this. He loved his family so much.

The next day Rommel organized the whole family, they started work two hours earlier than usual.

Marisu put a jar on the counter for customers who wanted to help with some money. The jar was full every day.

After six days in the hospital, Joseffe returned home.

Outside the bakery there was a sign that said Welcome Father, and his family and several customers were waiting for him.

Joseffe cried with happiness to see all his family and friends supporting him.
