Birth
Pattie Mallette was born in Timmins Ontario. Her Mother, Diane was abused by Pattie's alcoholic father, who left her when Pattie was 2 years old. Seeing her father leave, her heart was broken. She wanted someone to protect her and give her that fatherly love she needed. After her father left, Patties life started to receive more rejection and abuse the she got older. -
Childhood
Growing up, Pattie did not have the ideal childhood. When she was three years old, she became a sexual abuse victim, by playing an innocent game of playing doctor. Her expectation was for the child, not much older than her, to diagnose her with scary 'diseases.' Pattie ended up being touched in personal private areas, causing her to feel uncomfortable and ashamed. Unfortunately this was just the beginning of Patties sexual abuse. -
Teenage years
Pattie's teenage lifestyle was not any better. Her sexual abuse continued, with the pain and fear she felt, Pattie turned to drugs and alcohol. Pattie loved the rush she felt when she was high or drunk. She claimed it helped the pain of her sexual abuse to fade. During this time her relationship with her family started to become more distant. She would not give up her reckless lifestyle to save her family relationships. Getting high and drunk was her way of coping with the abuse. -
Relationship with Jeremy Bieber
Pattie Mallette had various relationships in the past. Being taken advantage of countless times, dating high school boys was not any different. Her most toxic relationship was with Jeremy Bieber. Pattie and Jeremy have been off and on for four years. Both of them coming from a broken home, Pattie believe that Jeremy was the one for her. He would verbally abuse her and was never fully committed in the relationship. Pattie was blindly in love with Jeremy and did not see the pain he caused. -
Spiritual connection
Dealing with the sexual abuse, Pattie did not like the idea of her reacting with alcohol or drugs to forget her past. One night Pattie's depression and anxiety hit her and wanted to turn to be under the influence until she had a vision. She saw a light looking down upon her, telling Pattie it will get better. Pattie felt Gods connection to help guide her in the right direction. After that occurrence Pattie made sure she was faithful to God not matter the situation -
What to expect when you are not expecting...
With her toxic relationship with Jeremy, Pattie found out she was having his baby. After Pattie told her parents and Jeremy about the pregnancy, she was kicked out of the house, Jeremy got scared and refused to believe it was his baby. Pattie was left on her own. She found an agency for young pregnant women and started her new life in London Ontario. She was alone, and scared, but Pattie knew she needed to get her life together for the arrival of the baby. -
Motherhood
On March 1 1994 Pattie gave birth to a baby boy named Justin. After Justin was born Pattie needed to figure out how she was going to support her child. With her miscellaneous jobs Pattie was able to afford an apartment for her and Justin. Jeremy would occasionally see Justin, but his visits would always be supervised by Pattie due to the trust bond they never fully committed too. Dealing with her depression, Pattie would not allow herself to be broken, she needed to be strong for Justin. -
Talented baby Bieber
Living in a small apartment Pattie was able to catch on how talented her son was. She noticed his talent when Justin was 2 years old, when he was getting good rhythm. Pattie started to invest in a drum kit for Justin, even though she did not make enough money. She wanted to ensure her child had a normal childhood. Pattie would never tell Justin that he could not do something he loved. She enrolled him in sports, music programs, bible studies so Justin could have a better life than she did. -
Investing time in Justin's talent
After Pattie discovered his timing perfection, she also discovered a singing talent within him. Pattie noticed Justin having perfect pitch with any type of music. With no lessons on how to sing, Justin was a natural. To help her sons involvement with music, Justin was around 10 years old, when she would take him up to Toronto to perform on the streets. Pattie made it very clear that she didn't make her son perform for the money, she wanted him to entertain, which was his passion. -
The beginning of a better life
When Justin was 13 years old their was a singing competition for young teens that took place in Stratford Ontario. Pattie originally didn't want Justin to be apart of the show because she didn't want to force him to be involved with music. After thinking about it she let Justin take part in the competition. Justin being only 13 years old at this time he won 3rd place in the overall competition. Pattie was very proud of her son for trying something new. -
Youtube star
Pattie was proud of her son for placing third place in the overall competition, although Justin was not happy that some of his family members didn't come to watch the performance. Justin came to the idea to start posting the videos on YouTube so his family members who didn't make it to the performance can watch the videos. Pattie invested her time into YouTube and started to post his videos, although she forgot to set the videos as private. This action help create his Justin's career. -
Her new beginning
After posting the videos Justin started to get internet famous. Pattie was more excited about his fame than Justin. She got a contact from a man named Scooter Braun desperately requesting to meet with Pattie to discuss Justin's possible career in singing. Pattie did not want Justin to be exposed to that much pressure at a young age, or decide his fate at only 13 years old. After giving it some thought Pattie decided to meet with Scooter in LA to talk about Justin's future. -
New life
After meeting with Scooter, Justin singing career started. Pattie was so proud of her son and herself. She came from a broken home, sexually abused at a young age, and finally broke through all those memories and can finally create new ones. After Justin became old enough to take care of himself, she started to write her book about her personal experiences, and how she got through them. Patties main goal is to write her book to help young teenagers deal with unforgettable memories
