    At the age of 27 on August 25, 1671, she joined the Visitation
    community in Paray-le-Monial. She chose the name Sister Margaret Mary due to her devotion to Mary.

  • Had a vision of jesus

    In 1673, she gad a vision of jesus who showed her his Sacred Heart for the first time, while she was contemplating upon the Blessed Sacrament. During that vision, Jesus expressed the great love He had for the entire human race and for her, in particular, as she would bring greater knowledge of Christ’s love for the world.   • She has another vision of the Sacred Heart

    The second time she had a vision of the Sacred Heart she was told to establish a liturgical feast. Included in this feast would be an act of reparation for the lack of r ever ence shown towar ds the Blessed Sacr a- ment. A Jesuit priest, Father Claude de la Colombiere, would help her estab- lish the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
