He conquered mexico. Cortes conquered the Aztecs . That was important because he found a lot of gold in Mexico. -

Pineda's Voyage
Pineda drew the map of the coast of what he explore. It was important because later on other explorers got his map and explore what Pineda explored and more. -

DeVaca discovers Texas
They got there because when they got left over in florida they made boats and DeVaca and others that were with landed in Galveston Island. He was here 7 or 8 years. He meet the Karankawa tribe. -

De Vaca's leader was Narvaez. The porpouse was to look for gold in Florida. -

Fray Marcos and Esteban journey
they went to evaluate the land so that they can send explorers. He got killed by a group of Indians when Esteban asked them for food and women because he was a medicine man. Fray Marcos reported that there were 7 cities of gold. -

Moscoso Expedition
The leader was De Soto and he died from a deiseas. What he report about Texas was that it was aweful, and that the Indians were mean like Coronado said. -

Coronado's Expedition
He search for Quivera and the zuni tribe. Hes guide for the second part was the Turk. Coronado killed him. He discovered that Texas was no good and that the Indians were mean. The importance of his journey was that he discovered the Pablo Duro Canyon and the Grand Canyon.
