Colombus’ first voyage

Columbus was looking for spices and silk from asia but landed in the bahamas. He had descovered the new world in 1942. But he still believed that he was in asia and died beilieving he was in asia. He was the reason we whent to north america.

Cortes voyage

Oct 1, 1519

Cortes was in search of gold so he went to mexico. when he arrieved he saw a band of indians called the aztecs. the aztecs arnt usually friendly but they worshiped cortes. they worsheped him because they were told that a god would come with fiery red hair and the indians thaught cortes was him be cause of his hair. cortes an the other hand said that he wanted all the aztecs gold. so he got all the tribes that hated the aztecs and he took them over killing all of them and conquered all of mexico.

Pineda’s voyage

Oct 2, 1519

pineda was in search to find a water route to the pacific ocean. he was the first man to map thh coast from florida to texas. his map lead later explorers to find texas and north america.

DeVaca Voyage start day

Nov 6, 1528

The purpose was to find gold. The leader was Narvez. DeVaca brought a slave from morocco. The plain was to go toflorida and drop men off and meat them on the othe side.

DeVaca discovers Texas

Oct 1, 1537

When the men got to florida they were dropped of on one side and the ships were going to pick them up. Well they reached the other side but the ships left because they thought the men had died. So they thought they would make rafts for about 1000 people. When they set sail they got caught in a storm and were spread on galveston. Most the men died. When they landed they saw a tribe of indians. The indians took them and forced them to work and they performed the first surgery.later they were saved

Moscoso’ Expedition

the purpose was to find gold. but instead the found the mississippi river. they went fro florida to texas. the real leder was desoto. he gave the same report " texas is horrible" and so know one touched texas for 150 years.

Fray Marcos and Esteban Journey

Oct 1, 1539

The purpose was to confirm the seven cities of gold. Esteban whent to tone of the cities and demanded they give him food and the indians didnt like that. So they threw arrows at him. well since there house had fools gold in it friar marcos thought they were made of gold and tol everone it was bigger than mexico.

Coronado’s expedition

Oct 25, 1540

coronados trip was to find the city that friar marcos had told them about. they whent and they demanded the indians gold and the indians got mad. one of the indians hit him in the head with a rock and coronado burned a bunch of the indians alive. He was mad because he had found no gold. a man named turk tol him of another city but just as well no gols. coronado was so furios he strangled turk to death.
