    This Soviet Union cosmonaut was the first human in space. He then orbited Earth and came home.

    The goal of this project was for one spacecraft to meet with another in space. Another goal was to examine the effects of space travel on the human body.

    The goal of this project was to set an astronaut on the moon'ssurface. Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon. The second was Edwin Aldrin.
