In 1770 British scientists Joseph Priestley used sunlight to accomplish his discovery of oxygen. The connection to solar was that he used sunlight to heat up broken down pieces of mercuric oxide to help his discovery. I chose this because got me interested and made me want to know more about it. -
Discovery
In 1839, Alexandre Edmond Becquerel was living in France and he had realised that you could use sun light as energy. So he was the first human to discover that sunlight can be used as energy. It is important because it’s the first thing that happened about solar. -

In 1878 British scientists William Adams created a solar technology that is called the solar tower. Adam laid silver mirrors in a semicircle around a couldron and now days people still do. He created the solar tower in the United Kingdom. It’s imprortant because it’s the first invention of one of the most important inventions about solar. -

In the 1880s a French engineer and maths instructor named Augusta Mouchout, invented a solar technology that used sunlight to make steam. His invention was the early version of a solar dish system. I think it’s a good idea because it could help you with daily thinks like cooking. -

In 1955 William G invented the first solar car called the sun mobile it was made up of 12 selenium photovoltaic cells. It was first showcased at the Chicago powerama. It was way to small to drive, I thinks it’s important because it was the first solar car to be invented. -

During 2013 to 2015 China, USA, Turkey, and Australia invented the solar thermal heating and cooling system. The system is worked by capturing sunlight to produce thermal or electrical energy. It can provide hot water for house and more. It’s important cause it’s a good alternative to heating and cooling things. -
