Mona and Cassie's parents have a meeting including the girls. This is to discuss the gory letters that were found in Cassie's bedroom. Mona's parents see nothing really wrong, but Cassie's parents see it as horrid.

Cassie joins the West Bowles Youth Group. Her parents made her in hopes it would help get her on the right track.

Cassie is made to leave her old public school. Her parents see her spiraling out of control, and they believe their only choice is to pull her out of her old school.

Cassie transfers to a private Christian school soon after she is pulled out of her old high school. She is still upset because she has to move schools.

Csasie starts to make friends at the private Christian school she attends. One of the more important friends being named Jamie.

Due to harrassment from Cassie's old friends, the Bernall family moves to a different town. Chris and Cassie stay in their same schools, though.

Cassie goes on a mission trip for a church along with her friend Jamie. Her parents are nervous as to how she will act while on this mission trip.
