    Overall Premise
This book is a dystopian themed book that describes the adventures of Juliette Ferrars, the main character, who has a deadly touch. Other characters include Adam Kent, Warner, James and Kenji. The book takes place in the future and it starts in Juliette's cell, goes to the military base, Adam's house, and lastly Omega Point. I chose this book because the cover intriuged me and I love to read dystopian novels.
  • Event 1 -- 264 Days

    Event 1 -- 264 Days
Juliette Ferrars has been locked away in prison for 264 days due to her unexplainable, dangerous power. She goes day after day in her usual routine when she is told that she will be getting a cellmate. Her cellmate, she learns, is a boy her age named Adam. She does not know why he is in this place and same goes for him. As days go one, Adam and Juliette become closer. Thinking: During this part of the book I thought about how it would feel to not be able to touch anyone for my whole life.
  • Event 2 -- Betrayed

    Event 2 -- Betrayed
As Juliette and Adam talked and learned more about eachother, Juliette is woken up by soldiers. She soon figures out that Adam is not just an ordinary boy, but a soldier of the Reestablishment. She is taken to the military base and is introduced to Warner, the section leader. Warner commands that Adam guard over Juliette as Warner makes his moves to use Juliette as a weapon. Thinking: During this point of the book I thought why would Adam betray Juliette and that he is now an antagonist.
  • Event 3 -- Touch

    Event 3 -- Touch
Since Warner wants Juliette to be the military's weapon, he wants to show everyone what she is capable of. He orders one of his soldiers to touch Juliette's arm and is paralyzed in the moment. This propelled the action because now the readers know how lethal her touch is. Soon, Warner has multiple meetings with Juliette to plan his strategy on taking over the world with her power. Thinking: I was surprised at this part, now knowing that she was able to almost kill someone with little contact.
  • Event 4 -- Cameras

    Event 4 -- Cameras
Juliette and Adam are getting more closer and Adam leaves a note for Juliette. Juliette is scared they will get caught and asks for her cameras to be removed from her room. Warner gives permission and Adam takes the cameras. They plan to escape the Reestablishment together and set a strategy. They get prepared for the perfect moment which is within at least six weeks. Thinking: When Juliette talks Warner into removing the cameras, I was almost afraid that she wouldn’t get the clearance for it.
  • Event 5 -- Lethal

    Event 5 -- Lethal
In Juliette's past, she touched a little boy in a supermarket to save him from his mother. This is when she learned of her powers. Warner is still trying to prove what she is capable of and show her that she is a weapon. He locks her in an interrogation room and they bring in another little boy. This room was a trap and the only way to save him was to touch him. Thinking: I thought that Warner was agian a horrible person that had no feelings in this part.
  • Event 6 -- Escape

    Event 6 -- Escape
Juliette and Adam are in love and of course, Adam can touch her. They keep hiding their belongings to finally escape. When Adam was supposed to help the other soldiers, he wasn't there and Warner went to see what was going on. He found Adam and Juliette ready for their escape. They jumped out of the window and ran into the streets. Thinking: Throughout this part I thought that Juliette would not make it with Warner behind her.
  • Event 7 -- Adam's House

    Event 7 -- Adam's House
Adam and Juliette run through the streets of the outside world. They are abandoned and sad. Adam leads them to a radio active infected forest to dismantle his tracker. Next, he leads her to a tank that he kept and drove to his house. They arrive and Juliette meets James, Adam's little brother. They make their way into his cozy apartment and rest. In the morning, there is knocking at the door. It was Kenji, Adam's fellow soldier. Thinking: I liked how the author described Adam's house.
  • Event 8 -- Discovery

    Event 8 -- Discovery
After Adam cleans Kenji's wound, other soldiers find them. Adam, Juliette, James, and Kenji start to run. They find a building and hide James and Kenji. Adam goes to fight off soldiers and gets shot. Juliette is taken by Warner and she takes Warner's gun and shoots him in the arm. Juliette breaks through a door to find Adam. She steals a car and drives to Kenji, who says he knows a safe place and drives there. Thinking: I thought this was the climax because I didn't know if they would survive.
  • Event 9 -- Omega Point

    Event 9 -- Omega Point
Kenji and the others arrive at the secret place. Juliette falls asleep and wakes up the next day. When she wakes up, she is met by a nurse named Winston. He allows her to get ready and meet the leader of this place, Castle. He explains that this is a rebellion against the Reestablishment called Omega Point and that there are others like her. She meets some of these people and finally gets to see Adam. Thinking: During this moment, I wondered whether or not Omega was a safe place.
  • Event 10 -- Super Suit

    Event 10 -- Super Suit
After Adam and Juliette catch up, Winston greets them to give Juliette her new outfit. Adam, Juliette, Kenji, and Winston all go to a room and Winston shows Juliette her new suit. It is very thin and stretchy, yet allows her to touch people. Everyone leaves the room to allow her to change into her new suit. She shows everyone her outfit and they all aprove. Thinkging: At this point, I wanted to know more about Omega Point and their intentions.
  • Reflection

    Reflection
Overall, I loved this book. It had a good plot and moved at a good pace. The one thing I did not like was the ending, because the ending was a little too abrupt for me. I would definetly reccomend it to a friend who likes dystopian novels like me. If there was a movie, I would watch it and maybe like it. I would read the rest of the series which is what I am doing right now. The one thing I wish were different was the ending to be more eased and less abrupt.
