Horrigan writes a letter stating that he is suspicious of john Wilson and that “his actions did not appear good” and asks for him to be transferred away from his district. Wilson was sent to Regina for reassignment.

She also talks about Polly’s discouragement while leaving for saskatoon and her inflex of mail but it was John who would come alone to receive it. She told Darling that she never trusted him.

In one Polly's trunks they discover a red RNWMP uniform and a letter to Polly for Jack. in the letter he asks her to go to Saskatoon, which happen to be her last known where abouts.

Superintendent C.H. West from Prince Albert found Polly’s Trunks stored away at the PA expess office and they were seized by the orders of commissioner Perry. There were many female articles of clothing and various house wear pieces but there were also some pieces of an RNWMP uniform of a corporal. Then pictures of two children and the last letter Jack wrote to Polly telling her to come to Saskatoon.

Officer Darling sought after John’s next of kin “Mary Wilson” who was listed to be living at 217 9th Street in saskatoon. But he had hound Mrs. foster. She told the officer that the Wilson’s had lived with her last fall and were newly married. She gave him a picture of the happy bride with her handwriting stating it was from a woman named Jesse. She also gave Darling the address the couple had lived at in Vancouver

sergent Drysdale asked for information about Polly’s trunks and discovered that “she” had wrote in late November of the previous year stating she was in Sutherland Hospital with the flu but there was no records of her ever being in that hospital at all.

John has left Vancouver by train to Regina accompanied by Sergeant Thomas. John knew when he arrived that he would be questioned about Polly’s disappearance

Jack Wilson wonders why he didn't tell Polly's family and everyone else that she had died of the flu, rather then to keep telling then that they were coming home.
