Rosaleen is in the hospital for being beat up three times. She is still technically under arrest. Lily gets into the hospital and tricks the cop. She breaks Rosaleen out of the hospital.

Lily and Rosaleen find the pink house where the calendar sisters live. August, June, and May.

Lily and Rosaleen got a ride to Tiburon. They slept, and walked to a store. Rosaleen had to wait outside cause she was a colored woman. Lily went inside to get them both food. Rosaleen wanted snuff, but they didn't sell anything from the store on sunday. So Lily had to end up stealing the snuff.

When Lily went into the store, she wanted to learn more about the black madona honey. The storekeeper told her that her name is August Boatwright. She keeps bees all over the county.

Lily helps August with the bees. August teaches her how to do everything. She says te stay calm and send them love.

Lily learns why May is sad whenever she hears about something bad. Her sister April, killed herself.

Lily goes out to the honey house and meets Zach while he is singing.

Lily finds out from May, that her mother has stayed at the honey house.

Zach and his friends get arrested from throwing a bottle at white people.
