    The accusations begin
On this date, the nine Scottsborro boys,a few white men and two white prostitutes, Ruby Bates and Victoria Price were looking for a new life.. The white men had started a fight, and the black teenage boys won, throwing the white men off the train. Paint Rock, the town ahead, heard of the fight and had a posse waiting at the station. Afraid of being arrested, the two prostitutes framed the teens of rape.

  • Nearly lynced

    Nearly lynced
During this day, the mob had gotten very violent, and wanted to kill the Scottsborro boys for the crime they did not commit. This event would not occur today due to more racial justace, equality, and security footage; but there are still resentments and distrust between Americans and people of Middle Eastern descent.

  • The convictions are overturned

    The convictions are overturned
The convictions are overturned for the Scottsboro boys due to the fact that the jury was all white men. This made it biased. Not everyone was biased, this is shown through this letter. This is an example of the support and justness that was felt later in the trial after the anger of the locals went away and the colored had more rights..

On this date, the last Scottsboro boy , Clarance Norris, dies at the age of seventy-six years. Sadly, the Scottsboro boys had not been paroled. • The Scottsboro Boys are pardoned

Gray, Clyde. "Alabama Officials Vote to Pardon Scottsboro Boys." YouTube. YouTube, 4 Apr. 2013. Web. 01 Oct. 2014.
This is the final event of the Scottsboro boys trial. After 80 years of imprisonment, the Scottsborro boys are free. This tragic case took this long because people are not willing to give up negitive emotions torwards other kinds of people; in this case it was between the white and the colored people.
