    When Sarah Starzinski was in the camp, she and her friend were going to escape. When they were about to escape under the fence, they were caught by a policeman. Sarah and the Policeman recognized each other. So after pleading to let them go, the policeman let them go and escape from the camp.

    Sarah, who was staying with an elderly couple after she escaped the camps, told them she was going back to Paris to find out what happened to Sarah's brother, who she locked in their secret cupboard, because she thought it would be more safe for him to stay there, than come with them to the Vel d' Hiv', which is where they ended up before they were taken to the camps

    When Sarah told the couple she was going to Paris to find out what happened to her brother, the couple did not want her to go. When Sarah told them that nothing was stopping her, the couple decided to go with her to Paris.

    To get on and off the train, the couple and Sarah need to get passed the French police and the German guards because Sarah doesn't have an ID pass.

    When they were about to get on the train, the policeman was checking for ID cards. The couple was nervous but remained calm. Before they knew it Sarah slipped onto the train without being seen by the policeman.

    Once they arrived in Paris, they all got off the train and saw that a German guard was checking ID passes as well.

    When the elderly couple saw the German guard, they thought they would be caught this time. When the guard asked for an ID for Sarah, the elderly man gave the guard a pile of money. The guard let them continue on there way into Paris.

    Once they got to Paris, they went right to Sarah's apartment where she left her little brother in the secret cupboard

    When they knocked on the door, they find a new family living in the apartment. She doesn't say anything to them. Right away, Sarah sprinted to the cupboard.

    When Sarah found the secret cupboard, she smelled a a horrible odor of death.

    Sarah's little brother, who she told to go in the cupboard because she thought he would be safer there and also thought that someone would come for him, died.

    That moment, Sarah's heart was crushed. She was so devastated and sobbed.

    Later on, when Sarah grew up, she moved to the states in New York, because everything about Paris reminded her about her little brother who died in a cupboard. In New York, Sarah married a man and had one son. Even though Sarah moved to New York so she wouldn't be reminded of her brothers death, she still wasn't happy. Sarah was driving her car one night, and purposefully drove her car into a tree and killed herself. Sarah Starzinski committed suicide.
