    St Frances de Sales is born

  • The Introduction to the Devout Life

    St Frances published this book which was one of his most popular books.

  • St Jane de Chantal joins the Visitation Sisters

    After her four kids can finally live on her own, St Frances and St Jane found the Visitation Sisters.

  • The Treatise on the Love of God

    7 years after Frances published The Introduction to the Devout Life he published The Treatise on the Love of God which was another one of his most popular books.

  • St Jane de Chantal dies

    St Jane died and was buried next to her close friend St Frances in Annecy, France.

  • St Margaret Mary Alacoque joins the Visitation community

    At the age 27 she joins the Visitation community in Paray-le-Monial and changes her name to Mary Margaret.

  • St Margaret Mary Alacoque has a vision

    She has a vision of Jesus showing her his Sacred Heart for the first time. Jesus expressed all his love for everyone.

  • St Jane de Chantal canonized

    She was canonized in 1767 and her feast day is August 18th

  • Mother Mary de Sales Chappius

    She is born in 1793, she joins the Visitation community in 1816, after the French Revolution she re-established the Visitation community in Troyes, France

  • Blessed Father Louis Brisson

    Father Brisson is ordained a diocesan priest in Troyes, France. he becomes the chaplain for the community. This leads to Mary de Sales and Father Brisson eventually founding an order of priests to honor St Frances de Sales and St Jane.
