Chapter 1 (1-18)
Jack St. Bride is a teacher who was sent to jail for reasons we do not yet know. He was let out of jail on work release however when you go into jail you come out with the same belongings that you went into jail with. So all he had fourty-three dollars and a key ring with keys to places he was no longer allowed. He ended up getting inot a cab and had this cab take him to a place called Salem Falls because he had no where else to go. -
Chapter 1(continued)
Than it switches to Addie Peabodys day and she owns a restaraunt in Salem Falls. When she walks into her resteraunt she finds that her dishwasher and refrigarater are broken. She calls the repair man to come and fix it and a few hours later Jack St. Bride walked into her restaraunt and took a seat at the bar.When he doesnt say anything she figures he is the repair man.After showing him the kitchen and him admitting he isnt the repair man she hires him as a part time dishwasher starting tommorrow -
Chapter 2 (19-43)
Jack St. Bride had switched Jails so that he could live closer to where he now worked and when he had switched he had to get fingerprints for his record.When he got to work the next day he was using a brillo pad to try and get the ink off his fingers so that Addie wouldnt find out who he was and what his story is. That night he had gone back to the jail because that is where he had to stay according to the work release. That night at jail Jepordy was on and Jack St. Bride was playing along -

with the tv and got every question right. A few nights later he was sleeping in his bed and felt a hand tighten around his neck he imediatly woke up in shock, Mountain his Cellmate was whispering into his ear your breathing my air. GET OUT. The next Jack was working his jail job cleaning up after the cows he suddenly fell to the groud with Mountain standing behind him saying get up aint done with you. He made a deal with Mountain if he got every answer right on Jepordy he would leave him alone. -
Chapter 3 (44-59)
Jack St. Bride started to live in Addie's father Roy's extra bedroom for the past three weeks. Roy had a dream about Jack that he had died because of scabies. Jack proved Roy wrong because you cant die from scabies. Stuart the guy that lives near Roy and Jack had a series of mini strokes leading up to a huge stroke and was now in the hospital. Jack is trying to teach Addie how to milk Stuart's cow because he cannot do it himself while milking the cow Addie and Jack are flirting. -
Chapter 4 (60-94)
Gillian is now introduced and they explain that her father is on the phone with somebody in her office. She says that she often wonders how it would feel to shoot her father in the head. She had lost her mother years and years ago and so she felt like she had no one to help her through her problems and listen to her. Therefore her and her father are not too close. -
Chapter 5 (95-142)
Catherine Marsh one of Jacks students is now claiming that the two of them have been having a love afair, So Jay, Jacks police officer called him down to the station to get his side of the story. Jack went to Catherines house to talk to her and her father hit him at his jaw because he thought everything that Catherine was saying was true. -
Chapter 6 (143-159)
Addie couldnt get Jack off her mind. One night at the dinner she leanded forward and kissed him at the start of his neck, with her completely flirting with him and him completely focused on Jepordy she did all she could to make him focus on her. It finally worked and he focused on her but he did not stop playing Jepordy. While kissing her he managed to slip in the answers to the questions on Jepordy that was on in the background behind them. -
Chapter 7 (163-174)
They made Gillian stand on a white piece of paper and shake her clothes so that they could test to see if she had been sexually assulted or not. The next thing that she had to do was talk to a doctor that made her styrip all the way down to nothing and answer all kinds of questions tpo see if they could find out who had sexually assulted her. -
Chapter 8 (175-188)
Jack was pulled back into the Interrogation room and was Questioned again. Jack was not providing any answers or any type of responce to the questions that the police officers were asking. Charlie the very first police officer to arrest him was not suprised at the was Jack was acting so he asked him if he had any one he could call as a lawyer. He still refuzed to answer any questions so the took him to the holding cell. Charlie asked if he wanted to call anyone and Jacks answer was

Chapter 9 (189-200)
The soccer team that Jack also coaches were playing one of their games. One of their lead players Arielle was rushed to the hospital. During one of her major chances to score she had fallen and Jack was Almost Positive that she had broken her collerbone so he had to put in a new player in her spot. Catherine Marsh was also on the team so he decided to put her in to replace Arielle. Chapter 10 (200-230)
Charlie had picked up Jack again and took him into custody. He was no longer working at Addies dinner so he was no longer on work release.Jack to do the check in processs all over again. Height, Weight, Eye color he had answered them again like he always does.
