    Sacagawea was born on May 1788 in what's now Salmon Idaho. Her tribe was called the Shoshoni tribe. She was the cheifs daughter and she had one brother and sister.

    When Sacagawea was twelve a Minnetaree war party atacked her villiage and they kidnapped her and other women to be workers at the Minnetree villiage. Sacagawea was forced to walk from Idaho to North Dakota. At the Minnetaree villiage the women were slaves but Sacagawea learned about their culture and their language.

    Corps of Discovrey meets Sacagawea
    Lewis and Clark and the Corps of Discovrey come into Sacajaweas villiage and they built Fort Mandan to survive the winter.

    Jean Baptiste was born February 11th ,1805 evereyone called him Pompey. Sacagawea had him when she was only 16

    On April 7th, 1805 the Corps left Fort Mandan and continued the expedition. Sacajawea and Charbonneau the eventually settled downcame into the Corps as interpreters Charbonneau complained and kept demanding thing but eventually settled down.

    Sacagawea arrived back in the Minnetaree villiage evereyone was sad to see her go. Eventually the rest of the Corps arrived at St. Louis on September 23, 1806

    Sacagawea Dies
    After the expedition Sacagawea and Charbonneau open a fur trading post. They sold furs until Sacagawea died of putrid fever.
