Birth of Russia
Russia was founded on December 25th, 1991. Joseph Stalin leads them to gaining their independence. They gained their independence because the Soviet Union signed on independence agreement due to the Cold War.

Birth of U.S.A
The U.S.A became a country on July 4th, 1776. Christopher Columbus was the first person to discover the U.S.A. He was sailing the world because he thought it was flat. That's when Queen Elizabeth funded his entire trip to prove if it was or not and that's when he discovered that it wasn't.

Cold War
The cold war didn't have any physical contact. It was just like a huge tense waiting game because neither America nor Russia knew what the other would do. The Cold War lasted from 1947-1991. It started because Russia and the America were basically going through a popularity battle because they both wanted to be the best. Russia wanted a communism government and America wanted diplomacy so they argued on which was best.

Trade
Trade between Russia and America has greatly increased and improved over the years. In the 1900's not much was traded and what was it affected the balance a lot. Now in the 2000's even though more is being traded it's being balanced my imports and exports.

Trade
America has imported more than it has exported but that number has greatly decreased over the past five years. America exports poultry meats, tree nuts, soybeans, and live animals to Russia. Russia exports oil different types of metals and steel, fertilizers, machinery, and timber to America.

Conflict
Just a few months ago the United States sent missiles to Syria to blow up a landing strip. Russia got upset about that because they were scared that maybe some of their people or belongings got destroyed by the air strike. That made them say that if anything happened to anyone of their people or anything that they would fire back. It was a couple days of waiting to see what would happen.

Ally or Enemy?
Russia has had a shaky relationship for years. President Obama tried to resolve some of the conflict and so has President Trump but it's not really working. Russia declared that their the relations with the U.S is at an all time low. Anything could happen from war, air strikes, or a simple argument that doesn't go any further than that. The air strike President Trump did on Syria didn't help anything and that really made Russia mad. Russia is more enemy than ally. -
