    The French and Indian War began in 1754. It was a battle between the French and English over who would control America. This lead to the Revolutionary War by eliminating the threat of French power on the continent by saddling Britain with a huge war debt.

    The French and Indian War ended in 1763 when the treaty of peace was signed in Paris. It ended afer seven years of fighting and the British ended up winning the war. This lead to the Revolutionary war by eliminating the threat of French power on the continent, by saddling Britain with a huge war debt.

    On October 7, 1763, King George III issued a royal proclamation that caused a furor amongst the colonists. This Proclamation of 1763 closed lands north and west of the Appalachian Mountains to settlement. This lead to the American Revolution because some people didn't like the furor amongst them and other colonists and that lead to fighting against it.

    The Stamp Act was a new tax that was imposed on all American colonists and required them to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used.
    This led to the American revolution because paying taxes made the colonists upset, then they started arguing against the taxes.

    Townshend Acts were taxes on glass, paint, oil, lead, paper, and tea were applied with the design of raising $40,000 a year for the administration of the colonies. The result was the resurrection of colonial hostilities created by the Stamp Act. This helped lead to the American Revolution because people didn't like having to pay taxes on things that they might have needed most because it cost them more money.

    The Boston Massacre was the killing of five colonists by British regulars on March 5, 1770. It was the culmination of tensions in the American colonies that had been growing since Royal troops first appeared in Massachusetts in October 1768 to enforce the heavy tax burden imposed by the Townshend Acts. This lead to the American Revolution because 5 people were killed and those people could have been important to that town.

    Intolerable Acts were the revenue generated by the Townshend duties, in 1770, amounted to less than $21,000. On March 5, 1770, Parliament repealed the duties, except for the one on tea. This lead to the American Revolution because they brought armed rebellion throughout the colonies.

    The Tea Act was designed to prop up the East India Company which was floundering financially and burdened with eighteen million pounds of unsold tea. This tea was to be shipped directly to the colonies, and sold at a bargain price. This lead to the American Revolution because it was a way to trick the colonists into paying for taxed tea, created the conflict. The colonists came together and organized a protest againts treatment they were getting.

    The Boston Tea Party took place on December 16, 1773, when colonists threw tea into the Boston Harbor. They did this because they didn't like the British tea taxes. This lead to the American revolution because after what happened with the Boston Massacre, the Patriots wanted something that could push them over the edge to start the Revolution and with the taxes this moved them a few steps closer. This should have taught them a lesson, but didn't.

    Lexington and Concord was when Paul Rever set out to get more soldiers in the militia for the Americans. The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the first military engagements of the American Revolutionary War.

    The Declaration of Independence was a statement adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, which announced that the thirteen American colonies then at war with Great Britain regarded themselves as independent states, and no longer a part of the British Empire. This lead to the American Revolution because without it we would still be under England's rule.
