French and Indian War

May 28, 1754

This is where I found my evidence.The French and Indian war officially started in 1756. England got mad at the French while the French were expanding and the British didn't like it. This was is also known as the 7 year war. In 1763, the war ended with a peace treaty. England got land in Canada from France and Florida from Spain.

Proclamation of 1763

The proclamation was put into play by the King of England.After the French and Indian War, England issued the Proclamation mainly conciliate the Indians.

Stamp Act

I found my information here.The stamp act was the first internal tax levied on the American colonists. This taxed all the paper products in the colonies.

Townshend acts

The acts were put into affect by Charles Townshend.The townshend acts were more taxes on the American colonists. One of the taxes was the tax on all tea bought by the colonists.

The Boston Massacre

Mar 5, 1770

The Boston Massacre was when the British soldiers fired upon the innocent colonists.The Colonists were throwing rocks and sticks at the soldiers which led to the firing of the guns. This led to colonies being very angry with the British.

The Tea Act

May 10, 1773

This was the last spark that led to the revolution of the colonists.England sent unwanted tea to the the new colonies.

The Boston Tea Party

Dec 16, 1773

This is when the the colonists of Boston through thousands of dollars worth of tea into the harbor.This started from the tea act earlier in the year.

The Intolerable acts

Mar 5, 1774

The colonists were pressed with greatere taxes than before.

Lexington and Concord

The British captured colonal leaders John Adams and John Hancock

The Declaration of Independance

Jun 7, 1776

This was a big step in gaining our nation's freedom.Some of our nations leaders gathered in Philidelhia to sign this document.
