  • Thirty Year's War

    Thirty Year's War

    Thirty Years War was a series of wars. It first originated in Bohemia, and the wars were about all sorts of things. The main one was wars about religions. Ferdinand was the Catholic Hapsburg king in Bohemia, he fought to assert royal powers over nobles. This was one cause of a war. While some people didn't agree with Ferdinand, this caused more chaos. Many people died in these wars, causing populations to decrease. It finally came to an end in 1648.

  • English Bill of Rights

    English Bill of Rights

    The Bill of Rights promised that the parliament would be superior over the monarchy. It also suspended Kings or Queens making laws, or suspending laws. It gave the people more freedom, and gave them a trial by a jury. It banned cruel punishments, and over the top fines. William and Mary had to accept these rights, in order to be crowned. Although english rulers still had power over things, they still had to obey the laws made.

    This war was mostly lead by the death of Charles VI. It was partially about French as well, bing their enemy. Britian and France had a long war, but would soon come to an end. This was important because it had a part in the english civil war.

  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act

    The stamp act taxed items. It lasted until 1766. It was another wave of the sugar act, yet it started with taxing newspapers and pamphlets, this is what triggered the people. They started arguing that the Parliament had no right to be taxing them.Soon, the Parliament took away the stamp act, but after still taxed the people on some things. This still made people mad. So, people exposed their anger. They started a war, known as the Boston Tea Party. This only made things worse.(History Book 462)

    American Revolution

    The American Revolution lasted until about 1783.It was a war based on freedom for people. It involved British, French,New York, and Philadelphia.British was at war with America, while French and Spain helped America fight British in the war. People wanted freedom, and out of Britans laws.The last fight was a success. The Americans won the fight, and got British to surrender in Yorktown, Virginia.With everything solved now, and no more wars, the American,British and French signed treaty of paris.

    The treaty of paris started after the American Revolution. This ended the war. In the end, Britan took what they saw out of America, like their independence, and did the same. People got more freedom and everything was a success.

  • Storming of the Bastille

    Storming of the Bastille

    The storming of the bastille means just that. Many Parisians were outside the Bastille, demanding for weapons and gunpowder. There was a rumor that the Bastille was holding these items. The bastille was a prison for political and other prisoners. The guards said no to the people, but people started rushing through. So, fire started and lots of people were killed. Another part of the French Revolution.

    The The french Revolution was caused by the people in paris, who were poorly treated, taking the government on. This led to the French Revolution. French had problems with economics as well, so this didn't make it any better. People were fighting because they thought French should do a better job for their economy. This is what led to the revolution.

  • Tennis Court Oath

    Tennis Court Oath

    The Tennis Court Oath was an oath that the delegates took, that stated "they swore "never to separate and to meet wherever the circumstances might require until we have established a sound and just constitution" " This made it as so every vote was equal, and there would be no confusion for explaining information. This was apart of the French Revolution, and had all three estates meet together and do a vote with everyone there, to figure out the French economics.

    Reign of Terror

    The reign of terror was bad for France. They were threatened from everywhere. Peasants, priests, and royalists all were going after the government. They wanted more food supplies. This was important because it was apart of the French Revolution
