  • Thirty Year’s War

    This was a war that lasted 30 years. And it resulted in the Peace of Westphalia. Many people died and some may say 60% of the population died either from starvation or in battle.
  • English Bill of Rights

    This was an act signed into law in 1689 by William III and Mary II, who became co-rulers in England after the overthrow of King James II. This was also about rights and power.
  • War of the Austrian Succession

    This war was the last Great Power conflict with the Bourbon Habsburg dynastic conflict. This war lasted about 7 years.
  • American Revolution

    At this time Americans in the Thirteen Colonies defeated the British in the American Revolutionary War. they gained independence from British society.
  • Stamp Act

    what did the stamp act do? you might ask well, the great parliament of Britain imposed a direct tax on the British colonies in America and required that many printed materials in the colonies be produced on stamped paper produced in London.
  • Treaty of Paris

    the treaty of Paris officially ended the revolutionary war. Which was a huge deal to end a massive war.
  • French Revolution

    So much happened in this long period. Lots of destruction lots of execution and mobs. Many protests and so much more just to sum it up.
  • Tennis Court Oath

    some of the members of the French Third Estate took the Tennis Court Oath saying not to separate and to reassemble wherever necessary until the kingdom is established. this was a monumental event in the French Revolution.
  • Storming of the Bastile

    the Bastille (a prison) was attacked by an angry and aggressive mob. it had become a symbol of the monarchy's dictatorial rule and the event became one of the defining moments in the Revolution.
  • Reign of Terror

    The terror was a time in the French Revolution following the creation of the First French Republic, a series of massacres and numerous public executions took place.
