French Indian War
The French and the Britsh were fighting over control of the Ohio River valley. The war lasted 9 years and cost the Britsh a lot of money. The Britsh won but were in significant debt. To pay off the debt, they start taxing the colonists, sparking the first dispute between the colonies and the crown. -

The Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was when the British Parliament raised revenue for the British troops in the war by taxing newspapers, almanacs, pamphlets, legal documents, and dice. -
Townshend Acts
The Townshend acts put taxes on glass, paper, paint, tea, and lead. -
Valley Forge
Valley forge was essentially a training ground for the Americans to train for the war. The cold climate had people dying of diseases and people were going several days with little to no food. They stayed at Valley Forge for six months dealing with the Harsh conditions. -
Boston Massacre
The incident was the climax of growing unrest in Boston, fueled by colonists' opposition to a series of acts passed by the British Parliament. A source from Paul Revere says that the officer in command Thomas Preston ordered the others to fire at the protesters. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was a protest against the tax on tea but the tax on tea stayed, and to punish the protesters they passed the Coercive Act. -

The Battle of Lexington & concord was the first Revolutionary War fought in Massachusetts to arrest the Relvountaries and steal the colonist's resources. -

The American patriots fought against the British even though they suffered a loss it showed they could hold their own against the British army. -

The Battle of Saratoga was a turning point in the Revolutionary War. The Americans defeating the superior British army lifted patriot morale, furthered the hope for independence, and helped to secure the foreign support needed to win the war. -

George Washington's army went against the British army and won giving the soldiers confidence as they were ready to retreat and go home. -
Treaty Of Paris
The Treaty of Paris was signed by the representatives of the British and the US thus ending the war on American Revolution.
