    Proclamation of 1763
    Decription: The British told the Colonists that they can't move west of the Appalachian Mountains. Significance: They fought a war over the land and yet they can't even go over there.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    Desription: Some Colonists were throwing snowballs and sticks and the British troops and the British troops shot them. Significance: It is sugnificant because that is kind of the breaking point between the two sides and started some battles.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Desription: The patriots dumped Tea into the Boston Harbor. Significance: It was an open act of rebellion by the patriots.
  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    Description: This was the first meeting between the colonies and Great Britian. The first shots were fired as the sun was rising and the militia was outnumbered so they had to fall back. Significance: It was the first engagement of the Revolutionary War.

    Description: A small group of soldiers raided the fort and stole cannons which they used in Boston. Significance: They stole all those cannons to use against the British.

    Description: It mainly took place on Breed's Hill but it was named BUnker Hill because it was the objective of both sides. The colonial troops knew that Great Britian was going to attack so they camped there and fought back. Significance: It was the first major battle of the Rev. War.

    Desciption: It was a petition that people signed so there wouldn't be a war. Significance: It was the final attempt to avaiod a full blown war.

    Desription: Thomas Paine wrote the Common Sense pamphlet to inspire people to fight for independence. Significance: It was the first sign of rebellion against the British.
  • Dorchester Heights

    Description: Troops from the Continental Army had control over Dorchester Heights and the British Army had to withdraw from Boston because they were threatened by cannons. Significance: It was what got Great Britian out of the Boston area.

    Desription: Major people signed the Declaration of Independence to state they were free states and were no longer part of Great Britain. Significance: It is when the United States of America became free!

    Description: George Washington lead the main army across the Delaware River and captured most of the British force that was in Trenton. Significance: It boosted the armies morale and inspired them to keep going.

    Princeton was the battle were George Washington defeated the British in Princeton, New Jersey.

    It decided the fate of the British army and regarded as a turning point in the war.

    Valley Forge is where George Washington and his men stayed before the Battle of Edge Hill. It was a very horrible camp where disease killed most of the people.
