    The War of 1812 was fought between the Americans and Great Britain in America and Canada. The War or 1812 was a war of irony and confusion. The issues that had caused the war were mostly settled before it started. The biggest battle was fought after the treaty to end the war (The Treaty of Ghent) was signed.
    The War of 1812 helped solidify the United States as a new nation. It showed Britain that the US was here to stay.

    Battle of Waterloo begins
    Up until 1815 Europe had been ravaged by war after war for the previous 1500 years, once the Romans fell it was one tribe fighting another for land, during the Middle ages England and France fought the hundred years war, after that there was the thirty years wars, numerous civil wars and invasions from one country or another.
    In 1815 after Waterloo the main powers in Europe got together and Constructed the treaty of Vienna. Napolean was killed during this battle.

    Princess Alexandria Victoria was born on May 24, 1819. in Kensington Palace,London, England. Her parents were Prince Edward Augustus and Princess Victoria.
    This was a really important event because she later in her life became the Queen of England and ruled for over 63 years.

    Queen Victoria marries Prince Albert
    On October 15, 1839 Queen Victoria proposed to her cousin Prince Albert. They got married on February 10, 1840 in the Chapel Royal of St. James Palace, London. They had nine children. Prince Albert became an important political adviser as well as the Queen's companion.
    He replaced Lord Melbourne as the dominant, and an influence figure in the first half of her life.

    Victoria was pregnant with her first baby. She and Albert were out on a regular carraige ride around the kingdom, where they were the target of the first assassination attempt. they were shot by Edward Oxford, who was later considered insane.
    None was hurt but this was the first assassination of the seven assassination attempts on Queen Victoria and Albert.

    On December 14, 1861 Queen Victoria’s Husband Prince Albert died. She was devastated. They were married for 21 years. She was never the same after.     .At 7:22 a.m. 15th April, 1865, Good Friday, Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States, dies from a bullet wound inflicted the night before by John Wilkes Booth, an actor and Confederate sympathizer.
    The president's death came only six days after Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendered his massive army at Appomattox, effectively ending the American Civil War.

    Mohandas Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869 in Porbandar, India. He was the child of Putlibai Gandhi (Mother) and Karamchand Gandhi (Father). Gandhi got married to Kasturba Gandhi in May 1883.
    He was the preeminent leader and freedom fighter of Indian nationalism in British-ruled India. He helped India to be independent.

    In 1877, Victoria became empress of India. She rules India from 1876-1901, for 25 years. She controls the East India Company in India after the Indian Rebellion of 1876.

    Statue of Liberty was presented to the  U.S.
    The statue, designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and dedicated on July 4,1884, was a gift to the United States from the people of France.The statue is of a robed female figure representing the Roman goddess of freedom, who bears a torch and a tabula ansata (a tablet evoking the law) upon which is inscribed the date of the American Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776.
    A broken chain lies at her feet. The statue is an icon of freedom to the United States.

    The 1896 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the I Olympiad, was a multi-sport event held in Athens, Greece, from 6 to 15 April 1896.
    It was the first international Olympic Games held in the Modern era. Athens was home to the first mordern Olympics.

    Victoria died at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight, on 22 January 1901 after a reign which lasted almost 64 years, the longest in British history. She was also the longest- reigning female over any civilization. Queen Victoria impacted her country by helping the country grow. She made the industry better by science and communication like the telegraphs and former technology.
    She also helped her country come out of poverty and increased urban populations.
