The islands of Hawaii are attacked by six carriers with 423 planes. At 6 a.m. the first attack wave hits.

At 7:02 a.m. two army operators at the base in Hawaii found the Japanese air attack, but the junior officer said it was nothing thinking it was the American B-17 planes.

At 7:15 a second attack wave of 167 planes head over from Japan.

Pearl Harbor was not ready for any attack whatsoever for the senior officers had informed the soldiers that an attack was not going to happen. So they strapped the planes down and locked everything up, thinking they would have relaxing Sunday.

At 7:53 a.m. the first attack happened with 184 fighter planes that each held multiple bombs. The war cry of the Japanese plane fighter "Tora! Tora! (Tiger! Tiger!)" was the only hint that a bomb was being dropped.

The second attack focused mostly on the shipyard facilities and the ships. Taken most of them out and killing hundreds. The air raids lasted until 9:45 a.m. destroying over 210 of our ships and planes.
