Boston Latin School was the first remaining public school to open in the united in 1635 -
Textbooks in the Schools
In the 17th century textsbooks were sent over from England where implemented in the United States schools. -
High Schools
Before 1821 there were no highschools only elementary schools. In 1821 Boston opened the first public highschool in the United States. -
