The Freeh Report is released. This report was very critical of the administration of Penn State, including Joe Paterno. Kane begins to investigate Tom Corbett with suspicions that he illegally slowed the process of persecution of Sandusky for political reasons.

Kane wins the election for the office of the Attorney General, becoming the first female Attorney General ever. She defeated Dave Freed 56% to 42%.

H. Geoffrey Moulton is hired by Kane to investigate the Sandusky case.

The Philidelphia Inquirer reveals a story that proved Kane's actions of shutting down a sting operation and targeting Philly State Representatives. Kane defends herself by saying it was “nothing more than the Good Ol’ Boys club playing political games to discredit me in order to fulfill their own selfish and improper agenda.”

Pittsburg-Tribune Review reveals that Moulton's report discovered numerous sexually explicit emails that were shared in the data base of the Attorney General's office.

Seamus McCaffery, a supreme court justice, resigned after it was revealed that he took part in the scandelous email exchanges.

Another Couloumbis and McCoy report revealed that the grand jury is suggesting that Kane be charged with perjury and contempt of court for her actions as Attorney General.

Jonathan Duecker, Kane's Chief of Staff, was accused of sexual harrassment. Kane was aware of the allegations and that a second incident may have occured, but chose to let it go unnoticed.

Due to her actions, Kane was arraigned, fingerprinted, and had her mug shot taken. She was released and a preliminary hearing was scheduled by Judge Rebar.

The supreme court unsealed its order, revealing that Kane could have revealed the emails without violating the order. This contradicts what she said in her August 12th news conferance.
