  • 15th amendment

    prohibits a state from denying a person the right to vote based on color, race, or previous servitude. this was a huge step for blacks.
    MLK was the lead of a march for the rights of blacks.
  • completion of the Panama Canal

    Not exactly quite sure the exact date of the completion but it was in the year of 1914. roosevelt was the president of the U.S and was the one who made it happen. They no longer had to travel around South America to get to thier destination.
  • assassination of Franz Fernadand

    at this date he and his wife was shot in thier home. he was shot by Gravilo pricip, a member of a assination team. it was the cause of a conspiricy theory.
  • U.S entry into WWI

    the U.S attacked Germany when they decided to attack our ships. the war began to fall into our hands and Germany lost many. they then retreated and called a truce.
  • treaty of versailles

    this was a treaty during the end of WWI for peace. it ended the state power between Germany and thier allies. it took 6 months of negotiating.
  • 19th amendment

    this amendment was the womens sufferage rights. this prohibited any state from denying a women the right to vote. Suzan B. Anthony and Elizebeth Stranton first drafted the amendment.
  • Hitler's invasion of Poland

    Poland couldn't hold thier own and were defeated within weaks. this began WWII and the invasion of all of Europe. the Soviet Union then stepped in, in order to help.
  • pearl harbor

    was an attack on the U.S at the Naval base in Hawaii. 2,402 people were killed. this was the last straw and we attacked back.
  • excectuve order 9066

    it was signed by roosevelt during WWII. this was trying to end the war.
  • first atomic bomb drop on Japan

    the U.S dropped the bomb towards the end of WWI to try to end it. the first one hit in town of Hiroshima. this killed around 166,000 residents.
  • second dropping of bomb in Japan

    the second one hit in the town of Nagasaki. this killed close to 80,000 people. the war ended a little later.
  • first U.S advisors get sent into Vietnam

    President Eisenhower send military advisory group into Vietnam. around 6,000 were killed or imprisoned. they were sent to train south Vietnam for the war AHEAD..
  • combat troops sent to Vietnam

    troops were sent to try to slow down the north. 58,000 U.S troops died. 303,000 missing.
  • march to washington

    a large rally to support civil and economic rights. Martin delivered his I have a dream speach. 300,000 march leaders.
  • assassination of JFK

    JFK is fatally shot while in a parade. After the investigation they conclude that he was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald. killed in the result of a conspiracy.
  • MLK assassination

    he was shot at point blank by Earl Ray at the age of 39. he was shot after a speach he gave about higher wages. His ideas continued and things got better.
  • end of Vietnam

    the end of Vientnam. millions of people died. lost war.
  • U.S supports Afghanistan against attack for USSR

    Jimmy Carter sends troops to aid Afghanistan. The plan was for the USSR to fall into our trap. we sent ships to the Arabian sea in order to help. the USSR retreates years later.
  • U.N resolution 678

    this was when the U.N gave Iraq one last chance to withdraw from Kuwait. After they did not get the message we went in there to terminate the pests. we one the war and saddam ran.
  • U.N declaires victory of the Persian Gulf War

    this is When Iraq invaded its tiny nieghbor Kuwait. U.N steps in and goes and defends Suadi Arabia. Then goes on to win the war with Saddam Escaping.
