  • Frisbee invented

    1820, this came from a pie company that a college student invented, plastic Frisbee were better than pie tins. This invention sold out quick because many people were interested in UFO’s at the period of time.
  • 5. Telephone

    1876, Alexander made this invention so people could talk to each other from long distance and not in the same room. This invention started out with two phones and then rapidly increased quickly with the government.

    1904, Marconi invented the first radio to have communication techniques, using the military equipment to communicate with each other. Knowing what’s going on the world
  • The Great Migration

    The great migration lasted for twenty year. When 6 million African American migrated out from the south and they left the south because they were discriminated so much and in the north they were promised jobs. the city that they came lived in today the murder rates have highly raised in there city.(1910-1930)
  • 6. Car

    Henry Ford starts an operation of been the first to move a vehicle. December 1,1913
  • 19th amendment

    The law passes in 1920 when Women get the right to vote. Women were discriminated from trying to get the right to vote, they would be beaten or tortured.Wildro Wilson didn’t agree with this law.
  • 18th amendment

    this amendment prohibited the manufacture sale or distribution of alcohol. This amendment increased crime violence and the gangster taking advantage of the black market. Prohibition was a huge problem in the society because women didn’t like their husbands coming home drunk.
  • 3. Emergency Quota Act

    this reduced 3% of immigration that live in the United States. This was a response from extreme immigration from Europe. This was a part thing to do. Wildro wilson was president when this law was been passed.
  • Immigration Act

    There was a lot of Europeans immigrants coming to the U.S. this act reproduced two percent of each race immigrants are able to live in the United States. This changed history and the Americans did discriminate this law. This act was to Europeans than to any other race.
  • Black Thursday

    October 24, 1929, the stock market loses 13 % of total value. This was caused by investors that were trying to sell their stock for any price because they just want to get rid of it. The economy lost billions of dollars and then there is only 2% of people that invest in the stock market and lost all their money at some point.
  • Black Tuesday

    October 29, 1929, the stock market loses 12%, when this happened it started the Great Depression. Thirty three billion dollars were lost in just two days.
  • Hoover Dam constructed

    (1931-1936) this project put 40,000 people applied for the job. There are cooper pipes that are running down the dam to coal the concrete when it dries. It provides electricity in Las Vegas an Los Angeles for the city. This created the biggest reservoir in California.
  • 1933 (state of economy)-

    this is the worst that the economy has ever been. There was 25% unemployment. One half of the banks closed down and most people lost millions of dollars in just seconds.
  • Franklin D. Roosevelt elected President

    He was elected because he said he would use the government to get people out the great depression and give millions of jobs for everybody. He died right at the end of the great depression.
  • 21st amendment

    this over turned the 18 amendment and ended prohibition. This is the only amendment we passed and over turned the others.
  • 4. Television

    this was invented 1939, when it first started not many cities had television. Most television shows weren’t even on broadcast.
  • 7. Computer

    1940, At first this inventions were big boxes at first and really heavy. The computers were like another TV and the program wasn’t that high quality towards the computers today. They changed so much threw history.
  • GI Bill of Rights

    • (June 22, 1944) they gave people cheap loans so people could get houses. This was a good deal because Franklin said that people that come from war are able to buy a good house when they come. This contributed took control of the suburbs and this is one of the programs of the deal that lives still today.
  • 8. Internet

    1960, when a network could be joined into another network. The internet has increased the speed to faster instead of slower. Everything would download more quickly instead of slow.
