Northanger Abbey.

  • Chapter 1.

    Chapter 1.
    Catherine Morland was invited by the Allens to go on holidays to a spa town called "Bath".
    On Bath, people could relax in traditional dances.
    In a dance, Catherine was introduced to a young man called Mr. Tilney. Mrs and Mr. Allen approved him but at the next day Mr. Tilney left Bath.
    Mrs. Allen recognised a lady which was her classmae on the school, Mrs. Thorpe. She had a daughter, so she introduced her to miss Morland. To Catherine was pleased find Catherine someone to be with.
  • Chapter 2,

    Chapter 2,
    Catherine and Isabella Thorpe spent a lot of time together.
    One day while they were walking they met their brothers.
    James and John had a good relationship.
    James invited Isabella to dance, and John invited Catherine. But at the ball, John was playing cards while Catherine was sat alone waiting for her partner.
  • Chapter 3.

    Chapter 3.
    Catherine was waiting for Mr. Thorpe at the dance. Suddenly, she saw Mr. Tilney. He was with a beautiful girl. She thought that she should be his sister.
    Mr. Tilney and his sister talked with Catherine. Catherine was pleased to meet Mr. Tilney's sister, Eleanor.
    Then, Eleanor, and Catherine spoke about Mr Tilney.
    Eventually, Catherine realized that maybe she did not like very much John Thorpe.
  • Chapter 4.

    Chapter 4.
    Miss Tilney and Catherine talked about Henry in the pump room.
    Eleanor noticed that Catherine was really interested on her brother.
    At the next dance, Catherine tried not to attract the notice of Mr. Thorpe.
    Mr Tilney asked Catherine to dance. They were about to begin dancing but Mr. Thorpe came over to them and discussed with Catherine,.
    At the end, Mr. Thorpe continued talking until a group of ladies passed by and he turned his attention to them.
  • Chapter 5.

    Chapter 5.
    Mr and Miss Tilney invited Catherine to accompany them on a walk. But, at the next day started to rain. When the rain stopped, Catherine watched him down two carriages arriving. It vas John, Isabella and James. They invited her to Bristol and Blaize Castle.
    John told her that the Tilney's were out of Bath. Catherine was disappointed.
    On their way to Blaize Castle, Catherine saw the Tilneys, she told John that he should stop.But Thorpe ignored her and carried on.
  • Chapter 6.

    Chapter 6.
    The next night, Catherine and the Allens went to the theatre. Catherine kept looking over at Mr. Tilney.
    When the play ended,Catherine ran to apologize with Henry.
    Henry was happy with this apology.
    During the next days, The tilneys and Catherine went out for their country walk.
    Isabella told Catherine that she was going to marry with James.
  • Chapter 7.

    Chapter 7.
    Catherine was invited to the Tilney's home for dinner.
    One morning at a dance another Tilney's member of the family arrived. Captain Frederick, Catherine was surprised to see him dancing with Isabella.
    Tinley family would return to Northanger Abbey, Catherine was invited by the Tilneys to spend time there. She accepted.
  • Chapter 8.

    Chapter 8.
    Catherine felt uncomfortable noticing that Captain Tilney was falling in love with Isabella and Isabella was encouranging it. But she was in love with James.
    The time came to leave Bath to go to Northanger Abbey. Catherine travelled in the same carriage as Henry,
    When she was in her room, Catherine examined her new sorroundings. It was a comfortably furnished more modern than she expected.
    She noticed an ebony cabinet. The key was in the door and she decided to look inside.
  • Chapter 9.

    Chapter 9.
    Catherine wanted to open the ebony cabinet. But it was difficult to open.
    There had written papers. They Were all of services like veterinary bills, or hairdressers.
    At The next day, she went for a walk with Eleanor.
    Eleanor mentioned his mother, she told Catherine that her mother had died nine years ago.
  • Chapter 10.

    Chapter 10.
    Catherine believed that General Tilney neglected his wife. And that was an inconsiderate husband. She believed that Mrs. Tilney had not died.
    Henry told Catherine that General Tilney was upset by Mrs Morland death. He said that General tinley loved her as much as he was able to.
    Catherine felt terrible. She cried because she thought she had ruined everything with Henry,.
  • Chapter 11

    Chapter 11
    A letter arrived to Catherine, it was from James.
    In the letter, John narrated his sadness and disappointment at being abandoned by Isabella. Isabella had left James to marry with Captain Tilney.
    Catherine was really sad. Catherine thought that Isabella was not looking for love, but satisfy his ambition.
  • Chapter 12.

    Chapter 12.
    Eleanor went to Catherine's room really upset.
    She explained to Catherine that she should go.
    Catherine thought that she had done something to offend General Tilney.
    Once in Fullerton, Henry went to find Catherine. The first thing he did was to apologise with Mrs. Morland for his father's behaviour. General TIlney had been led to believe that she was far richer than she actually was.
    General Gave his consent to Henry to marry with Catherine. They returned to live at Northanger Abbey.
