    Montgomery bus boycott
    Protest were African Americans refused to ride city buses in Montgomery. It went from December 5, 1955 to December 20, 1956. They were protesting segregation. Four days before the boycott Rosa Parks, was arrested for refusing to give her seat to a white man. The U.S supreme court ultimately ordered Mongomery to integrate its bus system.

    1965 in Alabama had deeply entrenched with racist police. In effort to register black voters in the south, protesters marching 54-mile route from Selma to the state capital of Montgomery were confronted with violence from local authorities and white vigilant groups. It raised awareness of the difficulties faced by African American voters.

    It happened in July 12, 1967- July 17th when an African American taxi driver was beaten and arrested by two white police officers for a minor traffic infraction in Newark's central ward area. When the word got out a crowd gathered outside police headquarters were the injured driver was claimed to be dead, was being held. Frustrated protesters could not keep calm began throwing rocks, and braking windows. the terror only escalated.

    A police officer was beaten for a minor traffic infraction.When the word got out the people had made a quite protest. Until people got frustrated and decided to start throwing rocks. It was in front of the police head quarters. It only got worse as the time passed.
