    Introduction
    On October 30 1989, Anastasia Liukin was born in Moscow Russia. About two and and half years later Nastia was born, her parents made a bold move to accomplish a life long dream. They moved to the United States to start their own gymnastics gym. This early exposure got Nastia interested in Gymnastics.     Summer Olympics
    In this photo to the left, she is holding a bouquet of flowers after being selected for the olympic gymnastics team. (Nastia Liukin) In the 2008 Olympics Nastia won a medal each of the events.     In this interview with Larissa, Nastia discussed her 2008 wins and how she trained seven hours a day, six days a week. (Von Nyssen, Larissa) She talked about possibly training for the 2012 Olympics. Nastia also told Larissa that she already reached her olypics goals but another Olympics could be in her future.

  • 2012 Olympics Trials

    This video is of Nastia's Unveven bars fall. (Paulo E. Gomes) Before the 2012 Olympics Nastia trained hard to prepare herself for a second chance at the games. (Von Nyssen, Larissa) Unexpectedly at the trials, Nastia fell while doing her bar routine. After her fall she got up and finished but her score of a 13.950 wasn't enough for her to move on to the 2012 games. (Graves, Will) This marked the end of her Gymnastics Career.

    In this Interview, Nastia answers questions about her life after Gymnastics. She is now attending New York University and is majoring in Sports management. Nastia explained how challenging it was for her get back to school after the olympics and the experiences she has had being an Olympian at a regular university. Such as being called to the front of her sports class to talk about her olympic accomplishments.
